The First Dawn: Veiled

Privacy
Policy.

· Myo Sein

The game has no ads, analytics, or tracking, and we run no game servers that store your data. Your saves live on your own computer. The only outside service provider the game uses for online play is Epic Online Services.

01 / About this policy

Your game. Your choices.

This policy explains what the game handles, where it goes, and how you control it. It applies to The First Dawn: Veiled on Mac and Windows. “We” means Soupi Tech, the maker of The First Dawn: Veiled.

The game’s local and online data practices are described first. The website and its voluntary support form handle information separately, as explained in Website & support.

02 / On your computer

What stays on your computer.

Most of what the game keeps stays on your device. We cannot see your local files unless you choose to share them with us.

Information stored locally by the game
WhatWhat it holdsWhere it goes
Save filesYour heroes’ names, looks, classes, progress, items, and questsYour computer; save files are not uploaded
SettingsGraphics, sound, and control choicesYour computer only
Log filesA technical record of play sessions, which can include your Epic player IDYour computer; no automatic upload

The game has no crash reporter and does not upload logs or save files. Selected hero information is still shared when you play with others, as described below.

Delete the relevant save, settings, and log files to remove those local records. Logs and the Epic device identifier may be stored separately from save files; uninstalling the game may leave some local data behind.

03 / Playing online

Epic Online Services.

Online play uses Epic Online Services from Epic Games. The game does not connect to those online services until you choose Connect to Epic or Open online. You do not need an Epic account, and this connection flow does not ask for your email or real name.

Information used by Epic Online Services
WhatWhyWho handles it
Device IDA device identifier Epic creates so the game can connect without an Epic account. On Mac, it is kept in the Keychain.Epic and your device
Epic player ID (PUID)An identifier used to find and join worlds. It can also appear in local game logs.Epic and the game
World listingWhile your world is open online: your hero’s name (up to 24 characters), level, and player count. The host PUID is used to join the world.Epic; listing information is visible to players searching in the game
Game trafficActions and messages exchanged in a shared Epic-online worldEpic’s relay servers carry the traffic between players

Device IDs and PUIDs do not require an email or real name, but they still distinguish a device or player; they are not a promise of complete anonymity.

Epic online play is relay-only in the current build. Connections made through Epic online play use Epic’s relay servers rather than a direct connection between players, so that connection does not expose your IP address to the other players.

This relay protection applies to Epic online connections. Direct-IP connections, including LAN or Tailscale where available, are a separate connection method and can expose connection addresses to the peers involved.

Epic also handles technical information needed to run its services, such as your IP address and device/platform information. Its processing and any operational records are governed by the Epic Games Privacy Policy.

04 / What players see

Sharing a world.

When you play in someone’s world, or they play in yours, players in that world can see:

  • Your hero’s name, level, appearance, and gear
  • Your hero’s position and actions
  • Your party membership
  • The chat messages you send

World chat goes to players in that world; party chat goes to members of your party. Soupi Tech does not operate a server that stores or lets us read those chats. Pick a hero name you are happy for other players to see, and do not share personal details in chat.

05 / What we do not collect

No ads. No game analytics.

The game does not ask for your email, real name, payment details, location, or contacts, and it does not access your microphone or camera. It has no advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-report upload.

We do not receive or sell your local save files. Information needed for online play is handled by Epic and shared with players as described above. Personal details you choose to type into a hero name, chat, or support message are not excluded from those sharing rules.

The website support form is separate from the game and does receive the email and message you choose to send.

06 / Children

Recommended for ages 13 and up.

Play by children under 13 requires a parent or guardian’s approval. Applicable local age requirements and any additional store or parental-permission requirements also apply.

The parental-consent process for under-13 online play has not yet been confirmed. Until the required process is in place, children under 13 must stay offline and must not choose Connect to Epic or Open online. A parent’s informal approval is not presented here as a substitute for any legally required verifiable parental consent.

If you believe a child under 13 has used online features without the required consent, or has sent personal information to Soupi Tech, contact support@soupitech.com so we can review the situation. Epic’s handling of children’s information is described in its own privacy policy.

07 / Your choices

You control your local data.

  • Play offline. Do not choose Connect to Epic or Open online to avoid the game’s Epic online connection and related multiplayer sharing.
  • Delete your saves. Remove the game’s save files to delete local hero data. Delete settings and log files separately where necessary. Uninstalling may not remove every file.
  • Mac device identifier. The Epic device identifier is stored separately in the Keychain. Deleting saves alone does not remove it.
  • Close your world. Choose Close your world on the Play with friends page to remove it from the online world list.
  • Data Epic holds. To request access or deletion, follow the Epic Games Privacy Policy or contact Epic.

We cannot erase Epic’s records or copies another player may keep. For support messages held by Soupi Tech, contact support@soupitech.com with your request.

08 / Website & support

Getting help through this website.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. The online support form sends your reply email, selected topic, summary, and message through a Cloudflare Worker and email service to Soupi Tech’s support inbox. The receiving email provider also processes the delivered email. We use those details to respond to and resolve your request.

Cloudflare Turnstile performs an anti-abuse check. Cloudflare processes security tokens and connection information for that check and hosting. The form endpoint uses a salted key derived from the connection IP to limit repeated submissions; it does not put that IP in the support email.

The form does not save drafts in browser storage or create a support-message database. It does not log form contents. Cloudflare’s Worker logging can record operational request information. Submitted emails remain in the support mailbox; a fixed retention period has not yet been established. Hosting, security, and email providers may maintain their own operational records.

Soupi Tech does not add advertising scripts to these pages. Cloudflare supplies Turnstile and may add website performance diagnostics through its hosting services. These website functions are separate from the game’s no-analytics behavior. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and its Turnstile Privacy Policy.

You can also email support@soupitech.com directly. Downloading a copy of a support message creates a file on your device and does not send it. Please leave passwords, payment details, and other sensitive information out of support messages.

09 / Changes & contact

Keep the conversation open.

If the game starts handling new data, we will update this page and its date before that version is released. We will also update the website section when its data practices change.
