A shared understanding
Terms
of Use.
Proposed terms for the Soupi Tech website and The First Dawn: Veiled.
01 / Draft status
For review.
These Terms of Use are a draft. They have not taken effect and are not presented as an accepted agreement. No effective date has been set.
This draft describes proposed rules for this website and future access to The First Dawn: Veiled, an independent game in development by Soupi Tech. Final terms, any game license, and the way players accept them still need review before launch.
02 / Using the website
Explore with respect.
You may browse this website, watch the video preview, and contact Soupi Tech through the support page. This website does not currently sell or distribute a playable game.
Do not use the website to distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt its operation, impersonate another person, or send unlawful, threatening, or abusive material.
03 / Accounts & access
Your account. Your access.
The First Dawn: Veiled is recommended for ages 13 and up. Children under 13 need a parent or guardian’s approval to play. The parental-consent process for under-13 online play has not yet been confirmed, so children under 13 must stay offline until the required process is in place. Applicable local age and store requirements, and any required parental permissions, also apply.
Online play is optional and starts when you choose Connect to Epic. The current game uses an Epic device identifier and Product User ID (PUID); it does not require an Epic account login. Applicable Epic service terms also apply when those services are used. Soupi Tech does not control Epic’s services.
Use only devices and game data you are authorized to access, and report suspected unauthorized access through support. Do not provide your password in a support message.
Game availability, supported platforms, and any separate playtest rules will be confirmed before access is offered. This website does not currently grant game access.
04 / Fair play
Leave room for everyone.
When game or community features become available, the proposed rules prohibit cheating, unauthorized automation that gives an unfair advantage, deliberate exploitation of bugs to harm other players, account theft, harassment, threats, and sharing another person’s private information without permission.
Report vulnerabilities privately through support. Do not access, change, or disclose another player’s data while investigating an issue.
For rule violations, proposed enforcement may include restricting or suspending access in proportion to the issue. Players can contact support to ask for a review. Final enforcement and review procedures will be documented before launch.
Honest reviews, criticism, and good-faith bug reports are welcome and are not prohibited by these proposed rules.
05 / Development & saves
A world taking shape.
The game is in development. Features described on this website are intended experiences and may change. Preview footage does not guarantee the final game’s content, performance, release date, or availability.
If playtests are offered, builds may contain errors and may require maintenance or changes to saved data. Any planned progress resets, limits on persistence, or access restrictions should be explained in the playtest information before participation.
This draft does not promise uninterrupted service or permanent retention of test progress. It does not remove rights or remedies provided by applicable law.
06 / Purchases & rights
Clear terms before purchase.
No purchases are offered through this website. Any future price, included content, payment conditions, or recurring charge must be disclosed before a purchase is made.
For Epic Games Store PC/Mac game purchases, the proposed refund policy allows players to request a refund for any reason within 14 days of purchase, provided they have less than 2 hours of recorded runtime and the purchase is eligible under Epic’s refund policy.
Request Epic purchases’ refunds through Epic. Purchases must be marked refundable or self-refundable, and Epic’s other eligibility conditions and exceptions apply. Read the Epic Games Store Refund Policy for current rules and the refund process.
If the game is offered through other stores or sales channels, their applicable refund arrangements will be disclosed before purchase. This draft does not guarantee a refund through a store beyond its policy or limit rights available under applicable law.
07 / Ownership & feedback
Respect the work.
Game artwork, video, branding, code, and other materials remain the property of their respective rights holders. Browsing this website does not transfer ownership or grant a license to redistribute or commercially exploit those materials, except where permission or applicable law allows it.
Sending feedback does not transfer ownership of your original material to Soupi Tech. These terms do not require you to give up ownership of an honest review. A separate game license and any streaming, fan-content, or modding permissions will need to be confirmed before launch.
08 / Player data
Know what is saved.
Save files containing character information, inventory, and progress are stored on the player’s computer. Optional Epic online play is relay-only in the current build and shares world listings and multiplayer information with other players. Website support messages are processed separately. See the Privacy Policy for the game and website data practices.
These terms do not authorize additional data collection or replace a complete privacy notice.
09 / Changes & contact
Keep the conversation open.
This draft may be revised before launch. Final terms should identify the operator, an effective date, how material changes are communicated, and any required acceptance process before they are put into use.
Questions about these proposed terms can be sent to Soupi Tech at support@soupitech.com.
